I meant to post this a few days ago but somehow saved it as a draft and left it at that. The internet connection in Sardinia was challenging my patience!

The trees’ canopies are host to a busyness of birds fluttering about, singing and chattering and busy in flight.
Soft sunshine is filtered through the petals of Bouganvilla flowers interwoven through the balcony’s trellis.
Sounds rise from the restaurant four floors below – a hum of voices, clanking silverware and glasses.
And here I am, sipping cool water, writing bad poetry, letting the sun shine on my smile.
