I spent one of the mornings on our recent trip to Sardinia just sitting on the beach and taking pictures of wave after wave after wave. I completely lost track of time and ended up with a rather severe sunburn on my back and legs. But… after several hundred shots, I started to notice specific aspects of each wave that I had never paid attention to before. Rather than regarding the wave as a whole, I tried capturing it just as it crested at the top, and then just as it started to fold on top of itself. I got some great images of foam and c-shaped curves too.
Each day of this week, I will be featuring a different aspect of waves from that morning at the beach. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. That sunburn was foolish, but worth it!
