Tapping into stillness

So I’m near the end of a much-needed massage yesterday and Phil is doing a deep-tissue neck/shoulder rub (which I could enjoy for several hours as this is where I hold all my stress… note to hubby).  I felt him watching me through closed eyes and I felt compelled to give some sort of feedback or reaction, so I said, “I don’t know where those knots come from.”  He tapped my forehead twice lightly with a finger and said, “Right here.”  Ah yes.

“Within you there is a stillness and a sanctuary to which you can retreat at any time and be yourself.” ~ Hermann Hesse
