Why not get out of bed at 6am on a drizzly Saturday morning when you might be coming down with a virus? I pre-paid to attend our zoo’s photo morning and so darn it, I went. I was disappointed with most of my photos (it IS difficult to manually focus when you’re also holding an umbrella and in a crowd of people.. and you feel like crap) but these are a few of the good ones.
First they tossed out some bones to the tigers. This guy really LOOKED at me… I swear! This next picture freaks me out a little.
Right? On to the two jaguars, which I really enjoyed. Someone had placed some pieces of meat in their habitat for them to find. First a few classic shots:
I held down the shutter and captured about 20 frames of this guy jumping and will turn them into a gif to share sometime soon:
I love this one for some reason. Something about the blur and the two of them together maybe…
The male has a broken paw (not that it holds him back), so he prowled around for the meat and then sat back to watch the female keep looking. I think he looks pensive on the left but the one on the right, I think he was looking at me!
Is this a smile? Such a cheeseball…
I think she thought for a sec that her mate found some food, but no… false alarm.
OK so this little lady is very close to all of us. I tried to give you some perspective here. See how she came out of the enclosure almost? She was very interested in all of us.
“Wait… they all have cameras. I’d better smile!” I thought she was trying anyway. 🙂
Thanks for viewing! See my pics from last year’s photo night at the zoo here.
Great action shots hope you are feeling better…..
Amazing photos! Hope you’re feeling better!
I’m scared of the Tiger. I think you captured some great photos.
I literally laughed out loud at your comment. 🙂
I love your photos. I feel like I was right there with you. That one tiger looks like she really wants to tell you something. Very intense.
Have a wonderful weekend.
xoxo
Yeah. He’s saying, “you look delicious!”
Some great shots! I love the tiger one!
My mom would LOVE to do that. Is it only a once a year thing?
I’m not sure actually. Check the special events part of their website.
Your photos all came out amazing! That one photo where the tiger is staring directly at you is definitely creepy! *so intense*
Thanks, Sherri. 🙂
