Around here…

I thought perhaps you’d like to know what it feels like and looks like in this neck of the woods.  I am…

… recovering from my daughter’s week-long virus that kicked all our tushies;

… desperately wanting to be able to open the windows and let in some cool Fall air, but it’s just a bit too soon.  But I’m adding Fall events to the calendar and getting giddy about pumpkin patches, nature walks, and being outside again;

… writing a bio and answering some interview questions because my photography is going to be featured in the October 15 issue of Sprout! (and doing imaginary cartwheels over here in anticipation and excitement);

… trying desperately to catch up on my classes, specifically Unravelling (taking photos and journaling about favorite things, creating a collage, and connecting with the lovely souls in the Flikr discussion group) and Soul Restoration (today begins the last of the 8 weeks and I’m still working on my pages for week 7 (and a painting) and have still to  journal about the topic, make a promise book, and make more truth cards – crazy good revelations coming from this class work) (Really, it’s so fun to be me!!);

… introspecting (is that a word?) as this will be published on Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the Jewish year, when we think about how we can become more of the person we want to be.  (I’ve been asking myself if I’ve improved since last year.);

… preparing to MC the wedding of my dear soul sista and her beloved in a couple weeks.  Yes, really.  You know that will be a future blog post! I am piecing together some words of welcome, words about love and marriage, my thoughts about the lovely couple, and a lighthearted but meaningful way to pronounce them screwed married.

… and reading the loveliest book (The Paper Garden: An Artist Begins Her Life’s Work at 72 by Molly Peacock).
