I snapped these first few just as the French Market was being set up for the day. We mistakenly thought we could beat the sweltering heat if we took a walk very early in the day. It is fun to watch the city wake up, but I still had to take another shower.
This one below is my favorite. This woman was transporting dresses for an African wares booth. She looks very no nonsense, don’t you think?
I realize I don’t exactly qualify as “the people of New Orleans,” but here ya go…
Please check back here on Monday for some more New Orleans photos, this time of gorgeous homes, the trolley, beads, etc.
Have a fantabulous weekend, friends!

Nai, how come the title says People of Crescent City? The pics are cool, but I’m confused…

Just like “The Big Easy,” “Crescent City” is a nickname for New Orleans. I think it may have something to do with the bend in the Mississippi River there?
Naomi, you did an awesome job capturing the personality in your photos. Love them all, thanks so much for sharing them. Have a great weekend! Stacie
Fun and interesting images, Naomi!
