About me
Welcome and thank you for visiting! I’m Naomi – a mother, writer, creative soul, and avid reader. I aim to share my thoughts and ideas to inspire positive change that will help you live an authentic and caring life.
Poetic Aperture is for me and for you. I often write just to process the swirling activity inside, but I also hope to inspire COMPASSION, COURAGE, and WONDER in you and support you on your journey of elevating the everyday.
I am a rabbinical student at the Academy for Jewish Religion in New York. I am fortunate to have an amazing 15-year-old daughter and a supportive husband of 22 years.

Glimpses of seaside life, part 2
Today I’m sharing a few more photos from our trip to Florida. I hope you enjoyed Part 1. Watching my 5-years-young daughter play in the sand was priceless. Her curiosity was contagious, as was her enthusiasm for collecting shells and … Continue reading

The gentle innocence of children
I have heard it said that children are our most effective teachers, and I thought I understood what that meant… that they remind us to be curious and present and teach us patience. But there’s more to it. Children do … Continue reading
Bippity, boppity, boo: a Cinderella birthday
I am now the mother of a 5-year-old. That sounds so unreal even to write. I thought I’d share some behind-the-scenes pics of the birthday party that my sweet girl and I put together. What began as simply having three … Continue reading
