“Attached at the hip” on Forever Parenting today

I have a guest post on Forever Parenting today about my daughter’s separation anxiety.  I was going to share that she is getting so much better, but…  Coincidentally, she spent this afternoon with a babysitter and her tears before I left were heartbreaking.

  1. I am a mom with a little girl with anxiety. After helping my child with separation anxiety, I wrote a book call “A Child’s Story -Going to School with Anxiety”. I also publish a digital magazine call The Anxious Child. You can find all these resources at http://www.anxietyandschool.com. I used systematic desensitization to help my daughter leave me to go to school. Try leaving for only 20 minutes to start with someone she trusts and slowly increase the time. I have details in the first publication of The Anxious Child. Take care.
